Parminder Shergill Discussion - UCB 2016

Screen_Shot_2016-11-28_at_4.22.34_PM.pngOn January 25, 2014 US Army veteran Parminder Singh Shergill was killed by the Lodi Police.  In the past three years, many questions still remain unanswered and even more have been silenced.  However the story of Parminder Singh Shergill touches on so many topics we generally do not discuss in the Sikh community - from questions of mental health to our own relationship with the police in a growing environment of unaccountability and lethal uses of force, we cannot stay silent.  Join us Tuesday evening at UC Berkeley, when our Jakara Movement Chapter (JMC) hosts a discussion with Aman Sohota, nephew of Parminder Singh.  Please encourage all to attend for this important conversation.
