Early: $70 registration + $75 Hotel (until April 30th)
Regular: $80 registration + $80 Hotel (EXTENDED until June 14th)
To reduce costs and provide a better experience at Jakara we are encouraging people to register early. This allows us to make sure we have the necessary supplies, food, and resources available for everyone that attends Jakara. We also understand that some people are unable to decide if they are going to come until after the deadline and thus registration will remain open until June 14th but a small late fee will be added. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via e-mail at conference@jakara.org or by phone at 1-888-JAKARA1.
After we receive your registration information we will review it and send you an e-mail at the address you provide confirming that we have received your information. However your registration will not be considered complete until we receive payment as well. Google Checkout transaction must be completed by the deadline or a late fee will be added. Once payment is received we will then confirm your registration via e-mail.
This registration fee will cover admission to all events at Jakara which include a private laser tag session (only open to Jakara registrants), Picnic at Woodward Park, private access to Fresno Student Union for a night of bowling and pool, Jakara’s Talent Show and social, and brunch banquet on Sunday. With the registration fee you will also be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets on Friday and Saturday and brunch on Sunday. This year you will also be provided a complimentary Jakara T-shirt and all conference-related materials.
Jakara has negotiated a special group rate for all rooms reserved for our attendees. Therefore, if you are planning to stay in the hotel please do not try to make your own reservations as your cost will increase exponentially. Along these lines, to ensure that you have reserved a hotel room, it is imperative that you confirm your registration by the May 31st deadline. At the time that you register you will be given the opportunity to request up to three roommates and we will do our best to accommodate your request. This is usually not a problem but if you register after the May 31st deadline then we can not guarantee you will be placed in the room of your choice. The hotel reserved by Jakara is the Piccadilly Inn – University Hotel. It offers the warmest hospitality in the Fresno area. It includes a refreshing pool, spacious spa and complimentary Wireless Internet. Each room consists of two queen size beds which will be shared amongst four people. Cots are available at the front desk.
When requesting roommates, please do not request roommates of the opposite sex as this is against Jakara policy. If you are uncomfortable about sharing a bed with a stranger we recommend that you come with a friend. In previous years this has not been a problem as Jakara attendees are an outgoing group, who are there to have a wonderful experience. However if for some reason there is a problem please contact a member of the Jakara staff and we will do what ever we can to remedy the problem.
We understand that it is difficult for some people to get days off and thus Jakara will work around your schedule. We will never close our doors to anyone and if you need to make special arrangements please contact us via e-mail at conference@jakara.org or by phone at 1-888-JAKARA1.
By Air – To help keep our attendees costs down it is often cheaper for our out-of-state attendees to fly into airports other than Fresno (FAT) such as San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK), Sacramento (SMF), San Jose (SJC), or Los Angeles (LAX). If you are planning on doing this please contact us BEFORE you confirm your flight so we can organize transportation to the conference for you. However, if you choose to fly into Fresno then you can contact Piccadilly Inn and inform them that you will be staying at the hotel and they will provide transportation to and from the airport.
By Train – For those coming via Amtrack, if you contact Piccadilly Inn and provide them your travel arrangements they will organize transportation to and from the hotel for you.
By Car – There is plenty of parking available if you choose to bring your car to Jakara. Parking is free for all Jakara related events except for our Picnic at which there is roughly a five dollar charge.
What ever you travel arrangements maybe, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us by phone (1-888-JAKARA1) or via email (conference@jakara.org) and we will do our best to provide any additional accommodations.
