Jakara Movement Board of Directors

Becoming a member of the Jakara Board of Directors:

Hardly the pinnacle, of the organization, the board of directors is rather the most humble position.  While you will be helping to define the vision of the Jakara Movement, all expectations of community activism and involvement remain. No task is too low. To qualify for this position, you will have shown your dedication to the community, a commitment to the principles of Gurbani, experience in engaging all sections of the community, proven trust with the organization.  Upon completion of application, qualified applicants will be called to schedule an interview.

The Board of Directors can be between 5 to15 members and coordinates implementation of existing and new projects. Board of Directors serve for 3 year terms, but cannot serve for longer than 3 consecutive terms. 

Board of Director Requirements:

• Seven years with organization
• Shadow a BOD Member for 1 year
• Successful implementation and initiation of a major new project
• Dasvand donation
