Jakara Movement Associate

Becoming a Jakara Associate:

Becoming a Jakara Movement Associate marks one as a regional community activist. Having shown a strong commitment to bettering the community, advocacy of the movement, and a commitment to the organization, the Jakara Movement Associate is a leader for a number of different Jakara Movement projects and is a lead contact in their local region. They keep abreast of local events so we can respond to local needs. However, not only are the recognized for their leadership qualities and their commitment to seva, they are also engaged in promoting, training, and developing young new leadership. Upon completion of application, qualified applicants will be called to schedule an interview.

Associate Requirements:

• Five years of participation with the organization
• 5 points needed for Associate (Total 16= 11 assistant + 5 associate)
• “Leadership Role/Facilitator” at conference 5 years (1 point after completion)
• Hosting regional events (1 points)
• Participation at additional Jakara Movement event (1 point)
• Hosting a Fundraising event (1 point)
• Hosting a J. Kharkhoos training event (1 point)
• Dasvand donation

Associate Privileges:

• Associate Recognition
• Planning of all events
