Join the Movement

Currently the following applications are open:

• Jakara Movement Affiliate – The first-step towards a greater commitment to becoming a Sikh activist.  (1 year with organization)
• Jakara Movement Assistant – A marked leap in one’s engagement and dedication to community activism. The process involves becoming a leader in your local community. (3 years with organization)
• Jakara Movement Associate – A step towards becoming regional community activist.  Associates have shown a strong commitment to bettering the community, advocacy of the movement, and a commitment to the organization. (5 years with organization)
• Jakara Movement Board of Directors – Becoming a Jakara Movement Board Member is not the pinnacle of the organization, but rather its most humble point. While you will be helping to define the vision of the Jakara Movement, all expectations of community activism and involvement remain. No task is too low. (7 years with organization)
