Jakara Juniors Kids Camps have become the major initiative for the Jakara Movement. With substantial growth and impact, two times a year over 300 volunteers work with some 1000 children across the state of California, teaching them Sikh history, culture, and values.
In recent years we have expanded and have held Jakara Juniors Kids Camps in San Antonio, Seattle, Phoenix, Toronto, and New York.
The ideal candidate will have helped led a kids camp in their region and will bring that same excitement in working on the strategies, vision, and logistics of the continued expansion and creation of local Sikh youth sangats. This position will build your leadership skills, management abilities, and team-building faculties.
We are seeking a co-lead, with our current lead helping to aid work with local leads and Misl councils to develop and grow camps.
